This Must Be It, Welcome to the New Year…

   Hello folks.

 (Some external knowledge required)

Well, Christmas and New Years Day have come and gone. I just spent the past couple of hours working on my home desktop and troubleshooting some graphical problems we’ve been having for a while now. Apparently the fan built into our computer’s nVidia GeForce 9600 GT Graphics Card hasn’t been working.

Anyway, all of that aside, I’ve been really wanting a high powered computer. My brother and are reaching the end stages of pre-production on (Insert Name of Secret Video Game Project Here) and are looking to start building the game’s assets, and as a result of all this I’ve really wanted to make something in Unreal. Since I have never actually created a game map — except for that one time — I just thought I would give it a go again. I’m working on it at the moment and I didn’t plan it out, so it probably will not be fun to play, but when I get done with it I’ll see if I can upload it somewhere to share it with those of you who have Unreal Tournament 3.

On another note, Assassin’s Creed Revelation’s is keeping me thoroughly occupied and between it, work, and the holidays I’ve been kept quite busy. I am about halfway through the main story now and It’s not going too fast. I will probably play-binge it sometime this week, although Friday night is Magic night and Saturday my girlfriend wants to attend an Anime convention if I can manage to get my work shift adjusted.

I still have a lot going on right now even though I’m still on Winter break for another week.February is fast approaching and I am really excited for this year’s Carolinas’ Game Summit. Tomorrow I have a bunch of running around to do and one of the first things on my list is to call Blizzard Entertainment. I have completed everything except for my cover letters which I am waiting to write until I find out who to address them to — the objective of my phone call. Finally, I have also recently discovered the existence of MAGfest and am strongly disappointed that I will be unable to attend the event this year; however, next year I will most certainly make an effort to attend.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I know I may have rambled on for a bit and I’m aware that this post isn’t exactly the most organized, but right now I just don’t feel like being too picky about my writing — after all, it is almost 3:30am here and I have had a few long weeks now.
