It has been a while since my last post and even longer still since I have spoken about video games or anything of geeky significance. As of late I have found myself more absorbed with school and education than normal, mostly as chemistry and calculus have really captured my attention. I’m going through a huge life transition. Namely, I have been in the process of transferring from my small private post-secondary school to North Carolina State University to pursue electrical and computer engineering degrees.
This process has really been a pain from all angles. On one side, there are some faculty at my current school almost constantly pressuring me not to go (even though my current school doesn’t offer the programs I am seeking,) and on the other hand there have been nothing but setbacks with the change. Long story short, I took too long to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and now it’s hindering my ability to move forward.
I’ve been known to give up without support, but this is one of those things I really want and am definitely eager to pursue but right now I just feel like I’m wasting time and money. So, life lesson, even if you aren’t absolutely certain what you want, consider all angles and be cautious with life-changing decisions — don’t take them lightly.
