I’m taking some time to post this because I haven’t really been faithful to what I’ve been trying to do this summer. I had originally intended to work at my game projects as if it were a full time job; though my family and friends take this to mean that I have unlimited free time with which to ask me to do stuff or go somewhere. But I digress.
It has been several weeks and, due to “hiccups” in production (it being summer and my team being comprised of college students) the Cynapse TD project has fallen way behind. Our current schedule has me currently publishing the alpha build to the Windows store by the end of the week — very few of our new features have yet to be implemented and none of our bugs has been fixed. Granted I must share in this blame, as I have mostly abandoned the team’s project for the summer since no one seems to want to work on it, though I have been occasionally updating code snippets and updating our version control repositories.
With the tower defense project shelved, I have turned my attention back to the Skyrim Mod (A Big Mistake.) I managed to finish all of the scenes in one area and am currently in the process of troubleshooting scenes in another — issues with getting correct animations to play when they are needed. I know that by the time we release, most people will already have moved on from Skyrim, but my brother and I owe it to ourselves to at least finish the thing.
Sorry to keep everyone out of the loop. I had hoped to be more detail focused in these blog postings, but with everyone competing for my attention the time that I have in front of the computer I feel would be better placed towards finishing some projects — and Steam sales don’t help focus either. More to come next time!
